  3. Thank you for the like on the post! It was a huge encouragement to me! by the way, this is a great site!! An inspiration, keep posting!! (:

  4. Nice blog! Like someone else above said, the minimalist style, with the photo and short message to go with it, is refreshing and enjoyable to browse through.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for sharing your thoughts about WordAds. I’d love to hear how it works out for you after you’ve had some time to evaluate the pros and cons.

  5. Thank you for coming by my blog & for following. I’m honored that such talented people are interested in an amateur blogger/photographer who is yet find her true calling.
Again, thank you & I hope to continue this friendship/relationship with the 4 of you.
I love the photos & the stories that you tell. I hope one day I can be half as good as any of you.

    • Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. Feedback like this motivates us more than ever to work harder. πŸ™‚ Feel free to drop by whenever you like. And hopefully, you’ll find your true calling very soon. πŸ™‚

  6. The fact that your initials make an acrostic CALM is just fantastic. πŸ˜‰

I just browsed through all yours works. You four people have amazing talent, and I looked forward to seeing more Background Stories. πŸ˜€

  7. I have nominated The Background Story for the Versatile blogger award! It’s my pleasure to recognize your work and re-direct more lookers and potential followers to your blog. Please go to my post (http://bardessdmdenton.wordpress.com/2011/12/30/awards-to-gratefully-accept-and-pass-on/) to see the details. You are under no obligation to follow β€˜the rules’ associated with this award. Thank you for all that you share of your talent and spirit!

    • We already thanked you in your post, but we would like to thank you again here. You have wonderful illustrations and equally wonderful poetry to go along with them, so thank you, too, for sharing your passion. ❀

  8. Ethel and I have nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger Award. You’ll have to go to fourwindowspress if you don’t know about it, and if you follow the instructions you’re a winner. We are mainly trying to let you know how much we honor you and your work, so you may or may not chose to accept the award. That’s up to you, but we certainly think you are worthy of more than this one gesture of thanks for you and your poetry.

    • Thank you so much, Ethel and Thomas! We gladly accept the award. We’re just waiting after the new year to make a big post about the few awards we’ve received so far so that more people can read it (and thus, can be made aware of the bloggers who nominated us and we’ll nominate). We’ll let you know once that post is up. πŸ™‚

Thank you once again. You’ve been so gracious with your lovely comments. ❀

  9. I really like how simple your blog is. A picture and a thought. That’s about the maximum I can handle sometimes, but it’s also the minimum that it takes to get me inspired. I am not a big fan of writers that feel the need to go on and on. Being concise is a lost art, well at least I thought it was, until I saw this πŸ™‚
